Letter to The New York Times

Thandie at Panzi Hospital Bukavu, credit: hybridsolutionsThe Panzi foundation sent a tweet a few days ago about a letter written to the New York Times highlighting the growing troubles in Kivu, Democratic Republic of the Congo.   The letter was signed by a list of human activists, including Thandie Newton who have been fighting injustice in the Congo.  You can read the letter at NYTimes.com.


The Panzi foundation’s mission is to “raise awareness about the challenges in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo and partner with Panzi Hospital to heal women and restore lives.” Thandie visited Panzi Hospital last year during her time in Congo with VDay.
