Thanks for stopping by. Thandie.net is my first attempt at dabbling into the world of blogging. I chose to write about Thandie because she is a great role model whose story must be told. Thandie is multi-talented, intelligent, articulate, beautiful, and has great style. Most of all, I admire her because she is genuine.
I first came across Thandie in Mission Impossible II. I was intrigued by her grace, beauty, and style and was compelled to learn everything about her. Within a few months I had watched all her movies and had read every article about her. I love the versatility in her acting. For example, in Flirting she played a rebellious teen, in MI2 she played a glamorous jewel thief, and in beloved she was a possessed girl with freakishly scary voice.
I also look to Thandie for a lot of my fashion inspiration. Here too she is versatile
and original. She doesn’t always wear the mainstream designers and is known to be a supporter of British designers such as Jonathan Saunders, Giles Deacon, Stella McCartney and Solange Azagury-Partridge. She has fun with her fashion, but never to the extreme where it looks ridiculous. One of my favorite looks of hers was at the Kuro Black Screen event in 2007 where she wore a deep purple lace dress, accessorized with a bright yellow Milly coat and matched with yellow Christian Louboutin shoes.
Over the years I have collected various Thandie memorabilia and I hope to share these with you. My most treasured memorabilia is a doodle she drew for National Doodle Day supporting Epilepsy and Neurofibromatosis. It was auctioned on eBay in 2008. I had stayed up all night to ensure I won the auction…boy was it worth it! The doodle seems to be of her family and she has used the word “love” so generously throughout. I have made this the centerpiece of the blog.
In the coming weeks, I will be writing about Thandie’s life, her movies, the latest Thandie fashions, and much more. I would love to hear from you and all the other Thandie fans out there. Please send me your thoughts, requests, suggestion, and questions.
With that said, enjoy!
